"My Dear Friend:
I am overjoyed to be able to make a most wonderful and important announcement.
The Lord has very graciously blessed the work of the RADIO CHURCH OF GOD during the year now closing -- the FIRST radio church in the world having the Bible name "Church of God." He has blessed the PLAIN TRUTH magazine, and it has grown marvelously in circulation and influence. He has blessed the evangelistic campaigns conducted by the writer in Eugene, and at Alvadore. Many souls have been led to Christ, a large number baptized, many have been healed. And at one time or another during this year, the TRUE GOSPEL has been proclaimed to upward of fifty thousand people!
And now he has opened the way for far greater influence during 1935!
It is now possible for The RADIO CHURCH to go with multiplied power during 1935!
A wonderful opportunity has come for The RADIO CHURCH to go on the air in PORTLAND! This may be done by a hook-up between our present station, KORE in Eugene, and KXL in Portland. The broadcast will originate in studios of KORE as at present, broadcast simultaneously over the thickly-populated Portland area thru wire hook-up with KXL. KXL is one of the most popular stations in Portland, particularly for religious programs. This station recently has increased its power two and one-half times.
But there is one fact I want you to realize. It has been said that if a minister would DARE to stand before his congregation and preach the PLAIN TRUTH OF THE BIBLE, he would not have a dozen members left. That is about true, for God's Word is profitable for REPROOF, for CORRECTION (II Tim. 3:16), and the minister who will use it to REPROVE and REBUKE (II Tim. 4:2) as God commands, will find the time has come when people have adopted FABLES!
We have DARED to preach the TRUTH! We have not minced words, nor toned down the Word of God. And but FEW will SUPPORT such preaching.
Yet we have found a peculiar paradox. We have learned that people WILL LISTEN, over the radio, to the straight truth that would cause them to get up and walk out if their own ministers preached it in their own church! They will LISTEN, over the radio, but they WILL NOT SUPPORT SUCH PREACHING! We cut ourselves off totally from their financial support -- yet they LISTEN! And do you know, there are MILLIONS over the United States who will never listen to the last Gospel warning in any way EXCEPT OVER THE RADIO. They can be reached by RADIO -- and by radio ALONE!
Dear friend, I believe you are one of the FEW who really love the TRUTH! If the last warning Gospel Message for this Age is to be proclaimed with power to the thousands and the MILLIONS, it must be made possible by the VERY FEW! Do you want to see the truth fearlessly proclaimed during 1935 with multiplied POWER, to multiplied THOUSANDS over the great Portland territory -- up into the state of Washington -- thru nearly the whole Willamette Valley -- over those TWO radio stations?
If you do, then you must realize that these THOUSANDS will listen, but only the FEW support it and make it possible! And most of that few are in poor financial circumstances. So if the MANY are to HEAR and BE WARNED, it is the FEW (Mat. 7:14), who must sacrifice, and give up, and deny themselves, (Luke 9:23), that thru their contributions to the Lord's cause, they may have larger part in this glorious work of these last days. It will mean sacrifice to the very limit if this opportunity is realized! The WORLD was called on to "GIVE TILL IT HURTS!" during the war, to buy weapons of destruction to KILL human beings! Will GOD'S PEOPLE be willing now to GIVE TILL IT HURTS -- to GIVE UP THINGS -- to SACRIFICE -- that many may be saved for eternity? The night is far spent! Jesus is SOON COMING! The MILLIONS are not awake! We must WARN THEM! Dear friend, are you WILLING! Will you HELP? "

There are many who do not like what we have been saying. They come to us, indignant, wanting to correct our supposed error concerning their "group", telling us how right their group is, and how wrong we are about them.
Herbert W Armstrong DARED to preach the TRUTH! And that truth exposes the errors, the sins, the unfriendly, unkind, ugly, ROTTEN SINS and gross ERRORS that most do not want to admit having!
And in light of that truth, these groups who call themselves "the Church of God" are found in great error & GROSS departure from the TRUTH that has been preached by Mr.Armstrong! Yes, they are off doing their own thing, teaching for doctrine the commandments of MEN, false doctrines, and they are deceiving the people. Revelation 3:9, reveals what counterfeit we are facing today.
It appears that no one else, except this channel and this website,(if you know of anyone else let us know) DARES to LIFT UP the apostle, the one bearing the authority of Jesus Christ being His representative!!
Yes that "Bright warrior with a strong arm(the meaning of Herbert Armstrong's name) will shine that TRUTH and will uncover the UGLY, decadent & ROTTEN error & SIN, and many do not want to HEED and turn from sinning against God in repentance, and they would walk out if their minister said those things, BUT THEY LISTEN...to Mr.Armstrong in the comfort of their homes but they will not support it! AND THAT WARNING IS BEING TOLD...whether they heed or not.
The Radio Church of God, which is now the Worldwide Church of God is a spiritual organism, not a physical corporation. it is made up by the FEW who do support the message being preached by Herbert W Armstrong.
Remember now, what happened to the true Church in the first century.
Because the true Church was under persecution by Rome, they had to flee into hiding(Rev 12). The Gospel was preached to the known world by the apostles. False ministers and false brethren rose among God's people, and after the death of the apostles,(and even while they were alive) these false ministers and false brethren quickly reached to gain the members of God's Church for themselves.
They called their personal groups, "the Church of God", but was not continuing in what the apostles had preached!
Then the 100 years of historical darkness happened. After that 100 years, their appeared a "Church of God" but it was totally different from the true Church that Christ started in 31 A.D. They called themselves "Universal Church of God", or CATHOLIC.
Now consider.
After the death of Mr.Armstrong, God's only apostle in this end time, groups are popping up, no longer continuing in what the apostle preached! Yet they call themselves "the Church of God", and they all speak of the "Worldwide Church of God" in contempt and despisement.
They all speak from a position, that : "The Worldwide Church of God went defunct. But we have picked up where they left off."
But the Worldwide Church of God, the spiritual organism, the true CHURCH, did not go defunct. Only a mere corporation was taken (by false ministers) and dissolved.
Like what had happened in the first century, God's true Church is being persecuted. And when the persecution is happening, impostors have come along claiming to be the true Church, claiming to be the "vicars of Christ", claiming to be coming in 'Christ's name" but DECEIVING THE MANY! They all claim to be working the work of God, but are completely different from the true Church, and Herbert W Armstrong! They are actually trying to REPLACE God's true Church, and God's apostle! That is how Satan deceived the world in the first century! By destroying the image of the apostles, and by suppressing and destroy the message they brought!
They are more CATHOLIC, because this is what the CATHOLIC Church has been doing since their inception! This is why Jesuits running these COG groups. Most people don't see it, but God has allowed us to see it, and we are trying to warn our brethren of this GRAVE DECEPTION and DANGER! They all are trying to lure God's people out to capture and to destroy them. Satan knows what he is doing.
But the Worldwide Church of God is still here.
We are still supporting Herbert Armstrong, and are LIFTING HIM & THE MESSAGE HE PREACHED UP!
We are not some fictitious entity. We are the true Church of God, that was started 31 A.D, the very same Church that Jesus Christ through God's apostle raised up in this Philadelphia Era, Worldwide Church of God.
And what he preached, is being proclaimed, and the warning is being told! And these false groups are being exposed!
This is why you see the setting up "libraries" and other websites, and other fictitious groups. They only make available the writings of God's Church, in order to lure people in.
This is why they too take the stance of not being the Worldwide Church of God! Because they are not! They are impostors, trying to be the mirroring image of God's true Church, so the people might be ensnared by their legal traps. This is why they watch this channel so closely.
It appears that one else is lifting up God's apostle, except the Worldwide Church of God.
Others only use his name, his face, because of advantage(Jude 1:16). They are targeting God's true Church. And are being exposed the more time goes on.
So look at what Mr.Armstrong is saying above.
In 1934, the few supported Mr.Armstrong, and was sacrificing everything for that support. The warning message was being preached, many are and have been listening, but they do not support it. From Radio, to print, to Television, and now to Internet. That message is still being sent out, and is still being supported by the Worldwide Church of God!
GOD BLESS those of you who are sacrificing and who are still supporting God's apostle! HOLD FAST!
