Speaking of False ministers

In chapter 2 of II Peter 2, the apostle Peter was inspired to write: "But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does[a] not slumber."(II Peter 2:1-3)

Now "Heresy" is a doctrine or teaching that is contrary to the Word of God. These false ministers will not be preaching the same Word that Christ and His apostles(i.e Peter, Paul etc. etc. & Herbert W Armstrong), in fact they will be preaching different doctrines, different gospels, and a different Christ that they say is giving them these CONTRARY HERESIES!(Satan the Devil masquerading as Christ)

By covetousness they will exploit you, brethren. They will play on the desire you have to fellowship with others, to belong, to not be alone, of wanting a spouse. And they will exploit you with deceptive words! They will tell you that "they are the Church of God". They will tell you that "they are doing the Work of God". They are mere counterfeits brethren. They imitate in order to lure, and they will try to make themselves SO INVITING, but God is bringing judgement on such.(2 Peter 2:3)

" For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment; and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly; and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly; and delivered righteous Lot, who was oppressed by the filthy conduct of the wicked (for that righteous man, dwelling among them, tormented his righteous soul from day to day by seeing and hearing their lawless deeds)—"(Verse 4-8)

Now pay attention...God has just described how He doesn't spare those who practice wickedness and sin(even the angels who sinned), but He spares those who really obey Him and walk in His righteousness, who rejected the filthyness and sinful practices of the world around them! Truly "If the righteous one is scarcely saved, Where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?”(1 Peter 4:18)

Continue with verse 9 of 2 Peter 2: "...then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment, and especially those who walk according to the flesh in the lust of uncleanness and despise authority."

Yes, these false ministers, these false brethren, despise authority! They do not want to accept that Mr.Armstrong, as God's apostle, is in fact OVER THEM if they are in God's Church! They have to bring in another minister, or teacher to replace God's apostle, perhaps they themselves attempt to replace Mr.Armstrong, in order to avoid having to be UNDER him. Yes they do despise God's Government. They do not care for Church decision to avoid those who have been put out of the Church, such as GTA and others.

"They are presumptuous, self-willed. They are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries, whereas angels, who are greater in power and might, do not bring a reviling accusation against them before the Lord."(Verse 10-11)

Isn't that the truth? These false ministers/brethren are QUICK to point out how God's apostle(a dignitary in God's Government & Church) Herbert Armstrong is "dead". Why do they do this? Because they do not want to submit to what God gave through him(the Word of God put into curriculum for our learning), and so they turn quickly to speak evil against God's apostle, in order to convince themselves and others that they don't have to continue in what was taught to them by Christ through His apostle.
They are quick to say Mr.Armstrong was wrong, and how "he didn't understand" or how "he wasn't given the full picture". But none of that is true. The Word of God profoundly declares otherwise, but these false brethren/ministers will use these things to try to pull you away from God into their group.

"But these, like natural brute beasts made to be caught and destroyed, speak evil of the things they do not understand,

[Oh how they demand the understanding!]

" and will utterly perish in their own corruption, and will receive the wages of unrighteousness, as those who count it pleasure to carouse in the daytime. They are spots and blemishes,"

Now brethren, we are to be presented to Jesus Christ as a Bride without spot and blemish! And this emphasizes how much we should NOT be fellowshipping with those who speak contrary to what was taught- no matter who it is. Family or friends, or co-workers, or a minister. If they speak contrary to what God gave through His apostle- the Word of God- then God tells us explicitly what we MUST do.

" carousing in their own deceptions while they feast with you, having eyes full of adultery and that cannot cease from sin, enticing unstable souls. They have a heart trained in covetous practices, and are accursed children. They have forsaken the right way "

" and gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; but he was rebuked for his iniquity: a dumb donkey speaking with a man’s voice restrained the madness of the prophet. These are wells without water, clouds carried by a tempest, for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever."(verse 12-17)

Yes they want God's Tithes! They want you to DONATE, DONATE, DONATE! They want you to support them financially!

"For when they speak great swelling words of emptiness, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through lewdness, the ones who have actually escaped from those who live in error."(Verse 18)

Yes, they do this. They try to convince you brethren, how they are doing a GREAT WORK, and how wonderful their physical things are. They boast of their material gain, and allure through the lusts of the flesh. They boast of "statistics" of website views, and how great they are becoming, and they work on you saying "Thank you for your help". They are alluring to the lusts of the flesh. They want you to feel PRIDE in their work. 

We've noticed this with certain websites and channels on Facebook, who have come after us, going after those who have heeded God's Word and have escaped these COG groups and those living in error. They speak great swelling words that are empty. They want for God's people to congregate on their website. they want the money to come into fund them. They want to appear to those who are escaped! How true are the apostle Peter's words, which are in fact God's Words given through him.

"While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by him also he is brought into bondage. For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning. For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them. But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: “A dog returns to his own vomit,” and, “a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire.”(Verse 19-22)

We have taken this to heart brethren. We must make sure we are constantly getting back on track and staying on track. What about you? There are many out there trying to allure you into their group, into their work, and they do pry on the pulls of the flesh in order for you to be apart of them. Watch out, and take it all to God in prayer and fasting, and draw close to Him. He is able to deliver you from all temptation, just don't deny Him or His teaching through His apostle. Submit to God's Government in His Church, and don't allow Satan through his ministers and false brethren to get you to think or speak evil of God's apostle and of what was taught through him. The Word of God is EVERLASTING, and it did not die with Herbert Armstrong. But Herbert W Armstrong did preach that Word, and God used him to prepare US, the Church of God, to Qualify for His Kingdom, and to Overcome our own human nature, Satan the Devil and this world. Let us put to use these things, and reject all falsehood.
