So according to the Jesuits(at the time of 1870) The Church of God excelled (with greater splendor)in the mode of life and dress, and their conduct within their communities.
And the Jesuits goal was to excel "the Church of God", in order to gain attention for the Great False Church in Rome.

1. Treating principally all, though in things of little consequence, we must have the same opinion, or at least exterior dignity; for by this manner we may augment and strengthen the Society more and more; to overthrow the barrier we have overcome in the business of the world.
2. Thus strengthening all, it will shine by its wisdom and good example, that we shall excel all the other fathers, and particularly the pastors, &c., &c., until the people desire us to all. Publicly divulging that the pastors do not need to possess so much knowledge; with such they can discharge well their duties, stating that they can assist them with the counsels of the Society; that for this motive they can dedicate themselves to all classes of studies." Now what this is talking about, is the raising up of false churches, and organizations, and false pastors in order to "excel" and eventually destroy the Church of God.
They , being influenced by Satan the Devil, work to strengthen their influence, in order to excel any other ministers that oppose them.
Notice how others opposed to this very page is trying to EXCEL this page, in order to gain the influence over the audience we are reaching.
They have spent thousands of dollars, in creating libraries and websites, and social media sites, in order to do this! Not only that, but they are collecting people's data, and placing them in a database. Does this sound familiar?
And they do this until the people desire the Jesuit pastors and churches above all.
Remember in Revelation 3:9, on what we face in this Philadelphia Era, false brethren and false ministers! They pretend to be brethren to GAIN THE PREEMINENCE, to EXCEL THE CHURCH OF GOD!
And remember the Protestant churches are now claiming that the "protest" is over, and that there is no more "protestant" but that they all are "catholic".
So what they are describing, is a systematic plan to overhaul existing church bodies and organizations, and replace them with their own people, in order to guide and influence the masses for the good of Catholicism.
This is what has been happening on the world scene for years. Including God's Church.
Now look at the splinter groups of the Worldwide Church of God.
Every church is directing the people's attention to their specific "work".
And their target is the members of "The Church of God", those associated with God's apostle Herbert W Armstrong and the Worldwide Church of God, and their teachings on Mystery Babylon the Great.
They are gaining the people's attention, and are attempting to "excel" the Church of God. And are attempting to gain members from the Church of God, in order to overhaul and erase and rewrite what was taught by Herbert W Armstrong and the Worldwide Church of God.
More and more the "new doctrines" of these groups are taking precedence over the original teachings of the Church of God, the very same Church Christ founded in 31 A.D. These original teachings were restored by God's end time apostle and Elijah messenger, Herbert W Armstrong, to the Worldwide Church of God.
After Herbert W. Armstrong's death in 1986, other groups arose with strengthened speed, all claiming to be teaching the very same teachings that were taught in the Worldwide Church of God and Herbert W Armstrong.
But each group varied in teachings slightly.
Now they began to teach that a "new church era" had arrived, and thus they deemed it and was teaching the people that it was now necessary for new leadership. After all, they claimed, "God's work does not stop. We must continue to grow in the grace and knowledge." They must not have seen where God says in the scriptures, in the book of Revelation chapter 3 verse 11, "Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown." In order to accept these "new doctrines" and "new understandings" you must first reject the teachings of Christ, because these new teachings are in direct conflict with the true teachings of Christ.
These groups began to teach the brethren that in order to grow in the grace and knowledge, they must always accept "new revelation" or "new understanding" from the ministry. That, like the Catholic Church, the ministry has power to supersede.
They also were teaching their membership that the ministry had the power to establish doctrine, and the people had to believe them, in order to believe God. More and more, people were looking to these men, instead of Jesus Christ.
Now these groups rarely admonished the people to go back to what the apostle of God taught, and if these groups ever went back in reference to Herbert W Armstrong's and the Worldwide Church of God literature, they did so to exalt themselves in the people's sight for credibility sake. Thus building a confidence in the membership, appearing to be in line and teaching the same teachings of the Worldwide Church of God. But they were in fact, teaching many contrary teachings, not found in the Bible, nor were they taught by The Worldwide Church of God and Herbert W Armstrong. But increasingly their "new doctrines" and "new understandings" grew overtaking the true doctrines of the Church of God they once claimed they were continuing in. And whenever their membership doubted, or whenever it was advantageous for them to do so, these groups would misquote Herbert W Armstrong and the Worldwide Church of God to establish their new position, doing this in attempts to quill any problems that would arise from the Church of God membership within their church halls.
And if any member did openly question them, they were removed and kicked out of that group, so that it may be contained, and the true agenda of these groups hidden.
But some of the Church of God membership saw how these groups were teaching contrary to what is the true teachings of Jesus Christ. They even included those who was kicked out of these groups, because they saw the deceptions.
These membership was persecuted above all, because of their lack of compromise with the truth that was given to them.
So new groups were set up to catch them. These groups kicked out people also, who was loyal to the Jesuit cause, in order to set up other groups to catch the Church of God in them.
Men and women appeared, claiming they had learned the truths that was taught by Herbert W Armstrong, and The Worldwide Church of God, and that they believed them and that they were members for many years.
Now these people came pretending. They never believed all of what was taught.
But they are doing this in order to gain the trust of these few Church of God members not yet caught in these COG groups.
They conduct themselves as mediators, counselors and ministers of sorts.
When the Church of God members came into contact with false teachers and false doctrines, and were resisting them, these deceivers rose up to the occasion, as a mediator between the two parties, trying to get them to agree on some common ground. To "love one another" and coexist.
They do this in their attempts to have the Church of God member compromise with God's Truth for the sake of "fellowship" or "union".
But their goal, just as it was with those leading these splinter groups, is to lead you away from what Christ is teaching in His Word, and this is what Herbert W Armstrong taught, and this is what the Worldwide Church of God taught and believed. Today, the Worldwide Church of God is a smaller persecuted and scattered church body. Members meet in their homes, they meet in halls, and they are striving to hold fast to what Jesus Christ had given to them against all the doings of Satan the Devil and his evil system, called Mystery Babylon the Great.
Satan is setting up false groups with their false works, in order to "excel" The Church of God and God's Work, and to drive the memory of it into the dust, and in order to gain greater attention for themselves(Jude 1:16 and entire chapter), in order to draw the membership of the true Church of God back to "their"(These false groups) mother church at Rome.
And our lukewarm brethren are being drawn away to these groups, because they cannot "see" what dangers lays in wait within these COG groups.
They want to feel included and involved with their peers, and they want the fellowship we all desire. They have not been close to God as they think, they have been lacking in fervent prayer and in Bible study. So Satan is being allowed to attack them, and they are being corrected by their sins in order TO SHAKE THEM UP. They believe they are doing the work of God, but they are not. They are out of season.
They think they are clothed, and have need of nothing. Things are going well for them now, they are increasing with material things, and they think that any persecution is linked with sin, so no persecution equals to being blessed by God they think.
But because they are willing to sacrifice the hard times today in order to have no persecution, merging more and more with the world and it's ways, they will be spewed into the Great Tribulation by Jesus Christ, so that they may be tried with fire, forced to take a stand, instead of serving two masters. Half of them will repent in the Great Tribulation because of the message and warnings of the Church of God, and Herbert W Armstrong.
They will recall what their fellow brethren in Christ was saying to them, and will repent and will stand up zealously and give their lives at the guillotines for Christ and His truth.
So you can see why Satan does not want the original teachings of Jesus Christ to be posted for them to see. He does not want the people warned and shown how he has been deceiving them.
He has set up his ministers, and groups, and institutions of education in order to "drown the market" to push out their competition, Jesus Christ, God the Father, Herbert W Armstrong and The Church of God.
Counterfeits are being set up.
The people are being deceived.
Thus why we need to warn our brethren of Satan's traps.
If we do not warn them and point them back to the true teachings of Jesus Christ, as taught by the apostle of God Herbert W Armstrong and the Worldwide Church of God, and exemplified by their membership, GOD WILL HOLD THE INNOCENT BLOOD ON OUR HEADS! Because He showed us what dangers is coming, and we did nothing with it. It all goes back to the parable of the pound and talents. What will you do with what God has shown you?
And it goes back to Ezekiel 33.
God's Church is being persecuted by Satan the Devil and His Babylon System, headed by Rome.
And God's ministers is being targeted more than us lay members.
SO REALIZE THE DANGER CHURCH OF GOD MEMBERS!
Repent, and return unto God and unto His Ways that was prepared and lifted up as a highway(Isaiah 40:3) by Herbert W Armstrong and the Worldwide Church of God, the very same true Church Christ founded in 31 A.D.
Revelation 18: 4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
Satan has thousands if not millions of ways and plans to take you away from Jesus Christ and God's truth. REMEMBER CHRIST'S ADMONISHING in Revelation 3:11.
"Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown."(verse 11)
Let's get back on track with Jesus Christ and let us not forget our God.
WE NEED TO FAST MORE, and PRAY MUCH MUCH MORE! Satan is gearing up for a greater attack, and YOU ARE NOW IN A TEST! A test of whether or not you love God and His Truth or not. If you do not decide today, then you will be FORCED to decide in the Great Tribulation.
God is setting before you 2 ways, two trees.
1. The way of life.
2. The way of death.
Choose life.
1 John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
